Objects in Shrinkwrapped Equations or Anchored Frames Disappear When Editing Text in FrameMaker 5
Issue
When you edit text in a FrameMaker 5 document, objects in a shrinkwrapped equation or anchored frame disappear from the screen. The equation or anchored frame is followed by an unwrapped anchored frame.
Solutions
Do not shrinkwrap equations or anchored frames until you have finished editing the document.
OR: Apply a condition tag to the unwrapped anchored frame and hide the tag until you have finished editing the document. For more detailed information on conditional text, refer to Chapter 26 in Using FrameMaker.
NOTE: You can press Control + l (lowercase L) to refresh the screen and make the objects reappear, but additional typing will cause the objects to disappear again.
Additional Information
When a shrinkwrapped anchored frame is followed by an unwrapped anchored frame in FrameMaker 5, typing text causes the objects in the shrinkwrapped frame to disappear. Editing the paragraphs that contain the shrinkwrapped frames does not cause objects to disappear, but editing other paragraphs does.
FrameMaker automatically inserts equations in anchored frames. When you shrinkwrap the equation, the anchoring position of its anchored frame is set to At Insertion Point. When you unwrap the equation, its anchoring position is set to Below Current Line.
When you shrinkwrap or unwrap an anchored frame that contains an object other than an equation, its anchoring position is set to At Insertion Point.
