Location of Composite Documents when Comparing FrameMaker Book Files
After comparing two book files, Adobe FrameMaker creates a composite (*CMP.fm) document for each file in the first book that differs from its counterpart in the second book. Both files in the two books must have identical names in order for the *CMP.fm file to be created. The *CMP.fm documents are stored in the folder of the newer book. FrameMaker also creates a summary document, which opens automatically. For more information on *CMP.fm and summary documents, see the "Comparing Books" section in chapter 14 of the Adobe FrameMaker User Guide.
