Forced Return Causes Character Format to Recur in FrameMaker 5.x

Issue

A character format is unexpectedly applied to text you type after inserting a forced return in Adobe FrameMaker 5.x.

Solution

Apply the character format after typing one or more characters beyond the text you wish to format.

Additional Information

FrameMaker 5.x incorrectly applies a character format under the following circumstance:

You apply a character format while entering text, then you apply the Default Paragraph Font and enter more text. Then, you enter a forced return and enter text on the new line.
