Gray Background in the Color Dialog Boxes in FrameMaker 5.5 for UNIX
General Information
In Adobe FrameMaker 5.5 for UNIX, the background color of the Color Definitions and Color Libraries dialog boxes is gray. The gray background color is designed to enable you to see the available colors clearly and make more accurate color choices.
You may change the following Xresources to control the background color of the Color Definitions and Color Libraries dialog boxes. The color values listed below represent the default colors for these dialog boxes.
NOTE: The Xresources cannot be set locally. Xresources are set in $FMHOME/fminit/<uilanguage>/xresources/color_def and pantone, and affect all users running FrameMaker from this installation.
Changing Background Color in the Color Definitions DialogBox
Change the Xresources for this dialog box in $FMHOME/fminit/<uilanguage>/xresources/color_def.
Background color:
Maker.color_def*Background: Gray
Color name text box:
Maker.color_def.bb.item0.background: White
Scrollbars:
Maker.color_def.bb.item5.item4.background: White
Maker.color_def.bb.item5.item5.background: White
Maker.color_def.bb.item5.item6.background: White
Maker.color_def.bb.item5.item7.background: White
Percent value text boxes:
Maker.color_def.bb.item5.item12.background: White
Maker.color_def.bb.item5.item13.background: White

Changing Background Color in the Color Libraries DialogBoxes
Change the Xresources for the Color Libraries dialog boxes in $FMHOME/fminit/<uilanguage>/xresources/pantone. Note that changing the Xresources in $FMHOME/fminit/<uilanguage>/xresources/pantone will change the background color for all of the Color Libraries dialog boxes.

Maker.pantone*Background: Gray
Name text box:
Maker.pantone.bb.item2.background: White
Scrollbar:
Maker.pantone.bb.item32.background: White
In addition, you can change the background back to the default color of Motif Blue by commenting out the following Xresources in the color_def and pantone files:

!Maker.pantone*Background: Gray
