Text Is Very Light or Invisible in an RTF File Created with FrameMaker 5.x

Issue

When you open an RTF file created with Adobe FrameMaker 5.x, text in the document is very light, or is invisible.

Solutions

Open the RTF file in a text editor or page layout application and change the text's color to black.

OR: In FrameMaker, change the display units of the document to inches, and then reexport the document to RTF:

1. Choose View > Options.

2. Choose Inch from the Display Units pop-up menu, then click Set.

3. Choose File > Save As and resave the document in RTF format.

Additional Information

Text in documents exported to RTF when Display Units is set to an option other than Inch in FrameMaker 5.x is invisible or very light.
