Multi-line Cross-Reference in Book Prints Overlapped from FrameMaker 5 for UNIX or Windows

Issue

When you print a book from FrameMaker 5 for UNIX or Windows, a cross-reference to a multi-line paragraph overprints on one line instead of printing on multiple lines.

Solution

Open all the files in the book, generate and update the book, then print the book:

1. Press Shift and choose File > Open All Files in Book.

2. Choose File > Generate/Update.

3. Make sure the files you want to generate are listed in the Generate scroll box, then click Update.

4. Print the book.

Additional Information

When you print a book from FrameMaker 5 for UNIX or Windows, multi-line cross-references overprint on one line if the book was generated and updated while the files in the book were closed. To print multi-line cross-references as expected, you must open all the files in the book before generating and updating the book.
