Privileges when installing RoboHelp on Windows NT

Issue

I need to install RoboHELP on a Windows NT, 2000 & XP system.

Solution

When installing under Windows NT, 2000 or XP, you must have full administration rights to the machine. Only the user that has a profile for that machine can install the software. (Windows NT, 2000 & XP creates a different profile for each user that logs on.) RoboHELP only uses that users profile when looking for registry settings on the machine. If the user that installs the software has a different profile from the person actually using the software, RoboHELP will not run properly.

There are several levels of user privileges on a Windows NT, 2000 and XP machine. Your user name must have the highest level while installing the software. Once the software is installed on the machine, the administrator privileges can be removed and you can log on to the machine as a normal user to run the software.
