Problem with screen sharing display in Breeze Live

Issue

When screen sharing in Macromedia Breeze Live, the application's title bar is repeated on the screen appearing as cascading blue title bars and the application is never displayed properly. The distorted screen looks similar to the following image.

Reason

The issue has to do with how Breeze Live sends packets of data to the Flash Player and the how the Flash Player loads the data. Some video cards with outdated video drivers will read the first packet of data over and over and it never interprets the additional packets.

Solution

To resolve this issue, first try changing the Hardware accelerator setting of the video card on the presenter's computer to None as follows:

  1. Right-click on the Desktop and choose Properties.
  2. Click on the Settings tab and click on the Advanced button.
  3. Click on the Troubleshoot tab and set the Hardware accelerator slider to None.

NOTE: Step 3 is dependent on the video card that you have. You may have to click on a different tab to set the Hardware accelerator slider to None.

If turning off hardware acceleration does not resolve the issue, try updating the video driver on the presenter's computer to the latest available driver. Contact your video driver manufacturer or visit the company's web site for the latest driver. If none of these suggestions are helpful, please contact Breeze product support.
