Setting up a Project in Source Control with HomeSite or Studio 4.5

The following procedure takes you through the steps of adding HomeSite/Studio projects to Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.

  1. Open MS Visual Source Safe.
  2. Create a MS Visual Source Safe Project.
  3. Set Working Folder
  4. Do not add any files at this point.
  5. Open HomeSite/Studio.
  6. Open your existing HomeSite/Studio Project or Create a HomeSite/Studio Project.
  7. Choose a Source Control Provider.
    All the source control commands are available by right-clicking on the Project root (the globe)
  8. Map to Source Control.
    (Right-click in the Project root)
    You might be asked to login to Source Safe at this point.
  9. Add the files you what to have in Source Control.
