Audio recorded in Breeze presentation is poor quality

Issue

When playing back a Breeze presentation containing audio, the audio volume is too low or the quality of the audio is poor.

Reason

Poor audio quality is often cause by an incorrectly calibrated microphone setting or by background noise.

Solution

Use the following steps to help determine what may be causing the poor audio quality:

  1. Check that the user has used the automatic calibration feature
During the Set Microphone Recording Level process, the person speaking must say the œtest phrase before recording audio. Setting the microphone level will help provide better audio quality.
  2. Confirm that the person recording is pausing before and after speaking the œtest phrase
During the Set Microphone Recording Level process, it is helpful to pause before and after speaking the œtest phrase.
  3. Check the background noise of the surrounding area
If the audio is being recorded in a noisy environment it may be difficult to set the audio level correctly. To get the best performance the audio should be recorded in a quiet environment.
  4. Run the Set Microphone Recording Level process again
Setting the microphone level will help provide better audio quality.
