Authorware Basics Online Tutorial

Authorware includes interactive multimedia tutorials built into the Help System. The tutorials have been developed in Authorware and provide an introduction to authoring, editing and publishing your projects. You will learn through audio-enabled modules that include presentations and interactive simulations of Authorware.

For your benefit, these modules have been made available online. Review these modules to learn about authoring with Authorware and experience the interactive, rich-media learning experience Authorware brings to the web. You will need the Authorware web player to view these tutorials.

Main Menu
The five tutorial modules below can be accessed from the main menu.

Introducing Authorware
This module introduces you to the Authorware User Interface and explains the development environment.
Building your program
This section discusses the authoring environment in more detail. It shows how easy it is to build your project using Authorware's icon-based flowline. It also demonstrates adding interactivity to a course.

Editing your work
This section teaches about editing the graphics and text in an Authorware piece. You can also change the chronological order of the course by changing the order of icons in an Authorware piece.

Publishing your work
This module gives an overview of the different publishing options available for distributing your Authorware project. It also details setting up the publish settings for a piece and steps through an example of publishing your project.
Testing your knowledge
Ten questions that will test your knowledge of the Authorware interface and development environment. This is a simple demonstration of an online quiz built using Authorware.
