Shockwave Multiuser Server trial server is no longer online

Issue

The Shockwave Multiuser Server trial server (trialserver.macromedia.com) is no longer online.

Reason

Macromedia discontinued development on SMUS due to the latest development from Macromedia: Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX. Macromedia included Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX personal edition with Director MX only. Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX was introduced in July 2002. Many of the same engineers who created SMUS, also created Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX. Macromedia believes it will better be able to meet customer needs via Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX. For more information see Shockwave Multiuser Server status (TechNote 16688).

Workaround

The test server previously provided by Macromedia (trialserver.macromedia.com) will no longer be available to the public. However, a third party developer has agreed to allow our trial server customers to utilize his company's trial server.

Server IP address - trialserver.tabuleiro.com
port - 1626

Trial server documentation and trial movies are available at:http://xtras.tabuleiro.com/products/nebulae/demo.htm

Note: Macromedia is not responsible for this server and its performance or upkeep.
