Progressive JPEG images do not load dynamically

Issue

Progressive JPEG images do not appear when loaded dynamically using the loadMovie action.

Reason

The Macromedia Flash Player does not have a decompressor for progressive JPEG images, therefore files of this type cannot be loaded dynamically and will not display when using the loadMovie action.

Solution

Use JPEG images that are not saved with the "progressive" option checked. The progressive option for JPEG images can be found in most graphic editing software and allows the Web browser to display the JPEG as the image is being downloaded. As a precaution, test your movie often to make sure your JPEG images are appearing as expected and that they are saved correctly.
