There are some known issues with using the FrontPage Publish Web command extension. If experiencing other issues with the extension, you can talk with other extension users in the Dreamweaver forum. For access to this and other forums, go to Online Forums.

Server Configuration

The server authentication and permissions must be set in a specific way for the Publish Web command to work. Please see "Connection issues using the Publish Web command" (TechNote tn_15685).

Incompatible version of FrontPage Server

The Publish Web command will not work with the default FrontPage Server installed on Windows NT4 or earlier. Upgrading the server should allow a connection. Go to the Microsoft website for any patches or updates,

Some folders may not be visible in Dreamweaver's Site Window

Due to a particularity of the FrontPage server, the FrontPage-specific folders named "images" and "_private" may not appear or be available to Dreamweaver when using the Publish Web command. This behavior will be inconsistent.

Overwrite warning when downloading files

While downloading a file, you may be alerted that you are overwriting an existing file when that is not the case. This warning can be safely ignored if the file is not present within your local site.
