Saving a Find and Replace query

In Dreamweaver, you can save your Find and Replace settings for later use. Saving these settings will be especially useful for users who routinely perform the same search;finding, for instance, invalid tags or finding and replacing nonstandard characters in the text.

Saving a Find and Replace query
1

Choose Edit > Find and Replace. On the Find and Replace dialog box, you have the option to do only a find or to search for an item and then replace it with something else (either kind of activity will be referred to as a "query" below).

2 Make your choices in the pop-up menus and enter the appropriate information into the various text boxes on the Find and Replace dialog box.
3 Click the disk icon to save your query. This will launch the Save Query dialog box.
4

You can save your query into the Queries folder in the Dreamweaver 4 Configuration folder or navigate to another folder to hold the query. Name the query and click Save.
