Creating multiple link styles
With CSS styles, you can set the color of a single link by applying a class, or custom style, to the link. A custom style can alter the appearance of a link other ways, too, such as by changing the font or size. The custom style settings will modify the link even if you have already redefined the<a> tag using CSS.
Changing the appearance of a single link with a custom CSS style
| 1 | Click the New Style button at the bottom of the CSS Styles panel (choose Windows > CSS Styles to open this panel). |
| 2 | Select Make Custom Style (class) for Type. |
| 3 | Type the name of your custom style in the Name text box. |
| 4 | In the Define In section, select This Document Only. |
| 5 | Click OK. The Style Definition dialog box appears. |
| 6 | To alter the color of linked text, click the color box in the Type category and select a color for your custom style. |
| 7 | Add other settings (such as Font or Size for linked text) in the Style Definition dialog box. |
| 8 | Click OK. The name of the custom style will now appear on the CSS Styles panel. |
| 9 | To apply this custom style to a link, select the link and then click the style name in the CSS styles panel. |
