Flash Player has 32 simultaneous sound channels limit
Macromedia Flash Player 8 now supports 32 simultaneous sound channels, increased from the 8 sound channel limit previously in Flash Player 7.
This limitation is by design. Since Flash does not use external acceleration (such as DirectX) for sound, the player is solely responsible for rendering any audio in the movie. If more than 32 sound channels play simultaneously, this could put a strain on the CPU, especially if any animation is also taking place.
