Title

FTP failure to connect or connect only some of the timeProducts affected

Issue

Cannot connect to the server after having connected successfully in the past.

Reason

If you connect even once, your FTP settings are correct. When the same settings connect only part of the time, the reason is usually a server that goes offline or busy traffic on the network.

The diagram below illustrates the major relay points data must go through to complete a successful FTP transfer:

Solution

Try connecting at a different time of day, and contact the system administrator for the company hosting your site.
