Updated Macromedia Flash 4 HTML templates available for download

Introduction
The Flash 4 Publish feature generates HTML code that embeds a Flash movie for viewing on the Web. This Publish feature allows the author to choose different HTML templates to create different user scenarios. Flash 4 ships with a core set of templates. These templates have been revised to address the issues outlined below.There are also two new templates called Ad 4 Banner and Ad 34 Banner included in this set. The new set of HTML templates is available for download;

Windows Download: flash4_templates.exe (37K)
Macintosh Download: flash4_templates.sea.hqx (43K)

The following issues are resolved in the core set of templates:

All templates	All templates	Location of the Flash Player cab file specified by codebase has changed (TechNote 13998).

The following is a description of the new templates:

File Name	Template Title	Description
Ad34Banner.html	Ad 34 Banner	Uses JavaScript to detect for versions 3 and 4 of the Flash plug-in. Uses VBScript to detect for versions 3 and 4 of the Flash ActiveX control (used by Internet Explorer on Windows). Displays an alternate image if the Player detection fails.
Ad4Banner.html	Ad 4 Banner	Identical functionality as Ad 34 Banner except the detection is only for version 4 of the Flash Player.

Do the following to install the HTML templates:

1	Quit Flash.
2	Decompress the template files and save them in the Flash 4>HTML folder.
3	Restart Flash.

Note:This set of templates replaces all the templates that installed with Flash 4 and adds two new templates as well. You can delete or overwrite the old templates.
