Prompted for serial number when Flash launches on Macintosh
Issue
Every time Flash is launched on the Macintosh, the serial number prompt appears.
Reason
This symptom is frequently caused due to corruption in the Flash Preferences file.
Solution
To solve the problem, do the following:
- Quit Flash, then delete the file Flash Preferences. The preferences are located in the System Folder, inside a folder named Preferences on the hard drive.
- Restart the Macintosh.
- Launch Flash.
- Reenter the serial number.
