Audio in recorded Meeting archive loses synchronization

Issue

While the live Breeze Meeting shows no delays or latency related issues, playback of the recorded Meeting reveals that audio is sometimes out of synch with the visual presentation.

Reason

Exceeding the available bandwidth may result in audio getting out of synch with visuals, especially during periods of screen sharing.

Solution

Ensure that Presenters have sufficient bandwidth and CPU horsepower to facilitate the data requirements needed by simultaneous audio and screen sharing loads. This means a minimum 350k bits per second connection to the Breeze server.

Prepare and convert Powerpoint slides in Breeze rather than screen sharing them. Convert static graphics to JPEG instead of screen sharing.

Meeting Hosts can also "downshift" the Room Optimization to DSL speed to reduce bandwidth requirements to 150k bits per second.

Additional Information

Please reference the Breeze connectivity troubleshooting TechNote for details on determining your bandwidth and other troubleshooting tips.
