Encoding 16:9 aspect ration source material resizes to 4:3 ratio
Issue
The Flash Video Encoder resizes 16:9 source material to 4:3, possibly causing distortion.
Reason
Aspect ratio refers to the ratio of an image's width to its height. For example, HDTV features a wide aspect ratio of 16 units wide by 9 units high, and some DV cameras can now capture source material at a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Traditional analog NTSC televisions feature a nearly square ratio of 4 units wide by 3 units tall, and this is the traditional aspect ratio of most digital video.
Flash 8 Video Encoder cannot compress video at 16:9 aspect ratio.
Solution
Edit the source material to 4:3 outside of Flash, or crop the dimensions of the final FLV in Flash 8 Video Encoder to a 4:3 aspect ratio.
