SMAF sound crashes Flash when testing playback
Issue
When testing playback of SMAF (Synthetic Music Mobile Application Format) files in Macromedia Flash, the sound will play initially but repeated playback or œrestarting playback may crash Flash.
Reason
This is a known issue. Third party libraries required to playback SMAF files during testing can put Flash in an unstable state when repeated calls are made. This crash is during testing only and will not manifest on target devices.
REF: 135989
Solution
Save before testing mobile applications that use SMAF and avoid actions during testing that repeatedly restart playback of SMAF sound files. If your application requires a feature that manifests these conditions of failure, you should do your testing of this feature on one of your target devices directly.
