Issue
When upgrading from Breeze 4 to Breeze 5, the following error is displayed when running the updater:
ERROR: Could not delete directory C:\breeze\appserver, Macromedia Breeze setup will now abort.
Solution
The solution is to set the Breeze services to "manual" mode and restart the Breeze server.
- From the Breeze server, open 'Services'.
- Locate the following Breeze services:
- Flash Communication Administration Server
- Flash Communication Server (FlashComm)
- Macromedia Breeze Application Service
- Right-click on the service and go to Properties.
- On the General tab, under 'Startup type', choose "manual" from the dropdown box.
- Do the same for all the services listed above.
- Restart the Breeze server.
