Uninstalling Macromedia Flash 8

Windows

To uninstall Macromedia Flash 8 or Flash 8 Professional in Windows, use the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel to remove the application.

Mac OS X

Flash 8 can be uninstalled using the Flash 8 installer.

1. Launch the Flash 8 Install application.
2. Choose "Install" in the Flash 8: Install Macromedia Flash 8 screen.
3. Enter your OS X authentication password if requested.
4. At the Introduction screen choose "Continue."
5. At the License screen choose "Continue."
6. Accept the license agreement if requested.
7. In the "Select Destination" screen the previously installed location should be the default, assuming your previous installation was not a custom install. Choose "Continue" to proceed.
8. At the Installation Type screen choose "Uninstall" in the pop-up menu.
9. Choose "Uninstall" to remove the application.
