Breeze will not start and the telephony adaptor does not work

Issue

After installing or upgrading the licensed Breeze server to enable telephony, the server will not start. The debug.log file indicates something is wrong with the telephony adaptor.

Reason

There are a number of reasons for this not working correctly. Some of these are:

  • incorrect JAR file
  • incorrect server codes
  • the license does not have telephony enabled

Solution

  • Ensure the correct breeze/appserv/lib/Premiere_Adaptor.jar file is installed. (There are different versions for 5.0 and 5.1.) These can be found on the Licensed Support Page.
  • Ensure the correct server codes are entered and that there are no typos. In Breeze 5.0, the adaptor registration query can be copied and pasted into the correct field; however, it is quite easy to lose two hyphens in the process of the copy and paste.
  • Check with Breeze Accounts to make sure the telephony feature is enabled on the license. If it is not applied, it will need to be applied and the license.txt file will need to be redownloaded and applied.
