How are selectedIndex and selectedIndices related in Flex?

When you are using a List with allowMultipleSelection set to false, you'd find the currently selected iItem using either the selectedIndex or selectedItem property. However, the list based classes also contain properties named selectedItems and selectedIndices for use if you allow multiple items to be selected.
